Jep spent nearly 20 years as an agronomist in conventional agricultural production systems before establishing a biological farming consulting service in 1987. Soon afterwards, he began to develop and manufacture organic and fermented cultures for soils and plants. His proprietary technology forms the basis of the BioAg product range. Jep is responsible for research and development, manufacturing, staff training and customer support.

Based between Uralla and Walcha in the New England, Aaron services BioAg customers and Agents throughout northern New South Wales. Prior to joining BioAg in 2007, he spent five years as a project biologist with Agrisearch Services Pty Ltd, a privately-owned research organisation. He has experience across a wide range of broadacre, livestock and horticultural crops.

Trudi Barton

Trudi is responsible for managing the BioAg laboratory, including technical services and microscopy. In recent months, she has managed the implementation of BioAg’s Vesicular Arbuscular Mycorrhiza (VAM) Inoculation Project. Trudi has completed Certificate III in Laboratory Skills and has undertaken considerable technical training at the Soil Foodweb Institute in Lismore.

Peter has had a lifetime’s experience working in the industrial laboratories of several well-known Australian companies, including Wattyl Paints, CSR, Petroleum and Chemicals Corporation Australia, SunRice and the Central West Pathology Service. More recently, he has been working as a Pesticides Officer for NSW Agriculture and the EPA, where he developed farm chemical training programs.

Renee is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the BioAg office. Prior to joining BioAg in 2002, Renee worked in the real estate industry for six years. She has completed a Certificate IV in Business Administration and a Diploma in Business (Real Estate).

Marianne has more than 10 years’ experience in agribusiness administration and has recently completed the Fertcare Level B Accreditation Program. She works closely with BioAg Technical Director, Jep Gates, to develop tailored fertility programs that deliver an efficient and balanced source of nutrients to soils, plants and livestock.

Kristin has well-developed customer service skills, having worked in retail during her school years. She has also worked as a polling official with the Australian Electoral Commission. Kristin was raised on a family farm in the Grong Grong district.
